Morgan, the heart behind Tinseltown Sports, was more than its founder; he was my dad and the hero I’ve always looked up to. His vision was simple yet profound: to channel the raw energy and potential of young athletes into experiences that would shape their character and foster a lifelong love for basketball.

Over 30 years, my dad’s dedication to youth basketball was unwavering. Tinseltown Sports, under his care, grew to be more than a name—it became a commitment to excellence, a nurturing ground for teamwork, and a community built on respect and love for the game. Dad saw sports as a way to mentor young people, to instill in them the values that would guide them through life. He believed in the power of sport to shape lives, and his legacy is evident in every game played, every high-five shared, and every life lesson learned on the court.

From his humble beginnings to the countless hours spent in the gym, he was the very embodiment of the principles he taught. His ethos of hard work was only matched by his immense love for his family, whom he supported through multiple jobs, not in pursuit of success but to provide a life rich with opportunities and love. Whether he was in a business suit for meetings or his trademark polo and chinos at the gym, he was always teaching, always giving, always connecting.

Dad was a fixture in the gym, his second home. There, he was more than a greeter, organizer, and manager; he was a mentor. He taught life lessons through sports, emphasizing discipline, dedication, and the power of a unified team. His influence extended beyond the court, as he reached into the community to uplift and support those around him.

His impact is measured not in tangible accolades, but in the positive ripples he created in the lives he touched. His legacy thrives in every child who walked through his doors to play basketball. Through sportsmanship, discipline, and unity, these children were empowered to pursue success in various spheres of life. From lawyers and community leaders to NFL and WNBA players, the seeds planted in his gym have flourished into some of our community’s most successful adults.

As the family and I continue to write the story of Tinseltown Sports, we do so inspired by the values and lessons Dad imparted. We strive to honor his memory by upholding the principles he cherished and by sharing the profound humanity he exemplified.
